5 Days Mathura Vrindavan Holi Package

Five days is the version that lets you attend the Braj Holi events without racing between them. It covers Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana and Nandgaon — the full set of towns that matter during the festival — and leaves enough slack that a delayed start does not cost you a celebration.

Five days is the version that lets you attend the Braj Holi events without racing between them. It covers Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana and Nandgaon — the full set of towns that matter during the festival — and leaves enough slack that a delayed start does not cost you a celebration.

The programme takes in Phoolon ki Holi at Banke Bihari, where flowers replace colour; Lathmar Holi at Barsana and Nandgaon; the Widow Holi in Vrindavan; and the temple celebrations at ISKCON. Each is a different thing, and seeing several of them is what makes a Braj Holi trip worth the journey.

Between the big events there is time for aarti, for the ghats in the evening, and for the ordinary devotional life of the towns that carries on underneath the festival. The extra day over the four-day trip is spent on that rather than on more crowd.

Four nights are arranged near the main venues, with private transport throughout and someone coordinating on the ground during the events. It suits families, people who want to photograph the festival properly, and visitors from abroad who would struggle to navigate festival week alone.

5 days, planned day by day

22 stops in the plan, starting around 10:00 AM. The order below is the order the driver works to, so the page and the day match.

Built to avoid backtracking

Stops are arranged so you are not crossing the same ground twice, and so the busiest darshan falls at its calmest hour rather than its worst.

Drop points chosen, not guessed

Several temples here cannot be reached by car at all. The driver takes you to the nearest point that works and waits there, which is a different thing from being left at a car park.

Private vehicle, one driver

A private AC cab for the whole trip, never shared and never swapped part-way. The car stays with you at every stop.

One figure, not a rate card

Tolls, state taxes, parking and the driver’s allowance are inside the quote. Rooms and meals are separate and quoted on request.

Flexible where it needs to be

Darshan queues and traffic move the clock. When they do, the driver changes the order of the day instead of making you stand in the longest queue — and tells you before doing it.

Detailed itinerary

Day by Day, Hour by Hour

Frequently Asked Questions

01Why choose five days over four?
Slack. The Braj Holi events run across roughly a week and they do not queue up neatly, so a five-day window means a delayed start or a rescheduled event does not cost you the one you came for. The extra day mostly buys unhurried time between celebrations rather than another crowd.
02Which celebrations are covered?
Lathmar Holi at Barsana and Nandgaon, Phoolon ki Holi at Banke Bihari, the Widow Holi in Vrindavan, and the temple and street celebrations in Mathura. Which fall inside your dates depends on the year’s calendar, which we confirm when you book.
03How large are the crowds, honestly?
Large enough that they are the main thing to plan around. Barsana on Lathmar day is the heaviest, and the lanes there are narrow. We reach venues early and keep the vehicle within reach, and there is no obligation to enter the thickest part of it — plenty of people watch from the edge and have a better day for it.
04Is it suitable for senior citizens?
With the right expectations, yes. The driving and the accommodation are comfortable and the pacing is deliberately slow. What we cannot make gentle is the crowd at the peak events, so we plan viewing points rather than participation, and nobody is walked further than they want to be.
05Where do we stay?
Four nights in Mathura or Vrindavan, near the main venues where possible. It is arranged on request and it needs booking early — Holi week fills months ahead, and late rooms are both expensive and badly placed.
06What should we bring?
Clothes you are content to lose, eye protection, and a scarf. Leave valuables in the vehicle. Colours are sold everywhere locally so there is no need to carry them, and the organic ones are worth asking for.
07Can we photograph the events?
Yes, and this trip leaves time for it. Two practical notes: protect the camera, because flower and colour both get everywhere, and several temples do not allow photography inside regardless of the festival.
08Where can pickup and drop be arranged?
Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Mathura Junction, or wherever you are staying.
09Can the plan be adjusted?
Yes, and during festival week it usually is — events shift, routes close, and crowds vary by the hour. Tell us how much crowd you are willing to take and the plan is built around that rather than around a fixed list.
